The Junior Creative Directors Board (JCDB) is The Center’s first youth advisory council, made up of creative tweens and teens ages 10–18 from across South Florida. The 2026 board will include youth selected through The Center program participation and an open application process, with new members inducted each year. Serving one-year terms, members meet quarterly to share feedback, shape programs, and help design experiences created with young people, not just for them. Along the way, JCDB members gain behind-the-scenes access, special opportunities, creative experiences, and recognition for their leadership, all while building confidence and skills that last well beyond the boardroom.

Junior Creative Directors Board members meet a few times a year for Creative Hangouts that are hands-on, interactive, and actually fun. Meetings take place at The Center’s Boca Raton offices and are planned with school, extra-curricular activity, and job schedules in-mind.
Expect creative games, group brainstorms, hands-on activities, and snacks. Hangout dates are shared at least one month in advance with the first meeting taking place in late-April.
Being on the JCDB is a responsibility. Members are expected to:
- Attend quarterly Creative Hangouts
- Participate in at least two programs through The Center per year
- Share ideas respectfully and listen to others
