Camilo Miguel Jr. is the CEO and founder of Mast Capital, a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm, established in 2006. Mr. Miguel oversees the company’s investment strategy, risk management and operations, and leverages his extensive real estate, finance, and political networks, to bring his expertise of investment structuring, complex debt and equity products, execution and development to the firm.
Under his leadership, Mast Capital has become a leading investor and developer of high-end residential, hospitality, office, and retail projects, focusing primarily on markets with high barriers to entry. Prior to founding Mast Capital, Mr. Miguel was the President and Founder of Vertica Group, a land investment and repositioning company, and co-founded Clear Title Group, a boutique real estate title insurance company where he managed all aspects of the business, including acquisitions, entitlements and operations.
Mr. Miguel holds a Bachelor of Business Management degree from the University of Miami and is involved in various community and philanthropic organizations, including serving on the boards of Friends of the Underline, the Real Estate Advisory Board at the University of Miami, and the Advisory Board for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Southeast Florida, and as a member of the ULI’s Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council (UDMUC) Red national council.
