Dan Guin

Advisory Council Co-Chair

Dan Guin, born in North Carolina, was trained at the North Carolina School of the Arts. Dan has used his background in ballet and jazz in concert and commercial work. His professional experiences include performing with Southern Ballet Theatre of Orlando, Florida, Lyric Opera Ballet of Chicago, Delta Festival Ballet, South Carolina Ballet Theatre/ Ballet Michigan, and Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago.

 

Guin is in demand as a choreographer and teacher for regional dance companies throughout the United States. He has choreographed productions such as The Nutcracker, Graduation Ball, Boca Baroque, Coppélia, A Chorus Line, and From Me to You. His choreography can be found in the repertory of several civic and professional dance companies. His recent accomplishments include brilliant stagings of Giselle, Ella Sang, Romeo and Juliet, and Swan Lake.
