Derek Bellin is a distinguished executive with a proven track record of collaborating with fiduciary leaders, C-suite executives, elected and appointed officials, faculty and program partners to advance arts, education, research and innovation and service missions. With deep expertise in philanthropic campaign planning and execution, talent acquisition, and brand development, Derek has consistently demonstrated an ability to enhance organizational reputation, accelerate and sustain growth in philanthropy and develop operational capacity to meet mission.  

Derek played a pivotal role in the rebranding of two of the nation’s premier private research universities and a renowned healthcare system in New England. He co-produced the 2004 vice presidential debate, and has been recognized for crisis management and communications in the education and healthcare sectors.  His teams have excelled in development productivity, federal, state and community partnerships, multimedia advertising campaigns, web and publication design, media relations, and event promotion.

Derek’s fundraising leadership includes five comprehensive campaigns ranging from $100 million to $2.85 billion. Over a thirty-five year period, his leadership has garnered recognition from independent sector associations, including the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, PR Week, The Holmes Report, the Public Relations Society of America and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
