Jan Savarick

Executive Director of Leadership Gifts

For the past 35 years, Jan has built her reputation as a community leader in South Florida. As the Immediate Past President of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation, Jan played an integral role in the success of the Foundation and the Hospital for almost 15 years, raising more than $500 Million while she was there. Following her tenure at BRRH, Jan joined FAU as the Executive Director for Presidential Initiatives, working directly with President John Kelly to advance the mission of the University through philanthropy.

 

Jan has more than forty years of experience in marketing, fundraising, media relations, strategic planning and organizational development. She is an illustrious leader and committed facilitator of people, programs and projects, leading to accelerated growth and outstanding financial results. Jan was named one of “South Florida’s Most Influential Business Women” and a “Palm Beach County Ultimate CEO” by the South Florida Business Journal. 

 

Jan has been Chair of the Florida Atlantic University Sandler School of Social Work Community Leadership Committee since its inception in 2011, and is an Honorary Board Member of Hillel of Broward & Palm Beach. In 2022 National Jewish Health in Denver, inducted her as a Member of their Council of National Trustees. While continuing to serve numerous local not-for-profit organizations, in 2014 Jan took on the role of Senior Advisor to the Connected Warriors Board, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to improve the overall health and wellbeing of Veterans, Servicemembers, First Responders and their families.

 

She has served on the Boards of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County and the Levis JCC. She participated in CBI’s Mitzvah Day at Hospice by the Sea and the Ebenezer Baptist Church and was Chair of the Donna Klein Jewish Academy Board.

 

Jan was the Honoree at the annual American Association of Caregiving Youth’s “Back to School” breakfast in 2013, where the Mayor of Boca Raton declared August 13th “Jan Savarick Day”. She received the Phyllis & Harvey Sandler Crystal Award in recognition of her involvement in and support of the Levis JCC. In 2015, Jan was the Honorary Chair for the Kiwanis Scholarship Walk for Homeless/Foster Care Students, recipient of the prestigious Rotary OPAL Award in Medicine and Healthcare, and the Kathryn Krickstein-Pressel Award.  In 2016, Jan was the Honoree at Hillel’s Annual Gala, and Honorary Chair of Florence Fuller Child Development’s Wee Dream Ball,  has served on the Boca Raton Alzherimer’s Luncheon Committee, The Empty Bowls Delray Committee, and has Co-Chaired The Rotary Club of Boca Raton’s annual OPAL Gala in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 & 2024.  Jan also danced the Tango as a contestant in the George Snow Scholarship Fund’s Boca’s Ballroom Battle.

 

Art and music are two of Jan’s passions, travelling the globe to International Art Fairs and museum openings. Until recently she combined her love of music and fitness by teaching aerobics and spinning classes. 

 

Jan Savarick is known throughout our community for her dedication and commitment to numerous worthy organizations. Her efforts on behalf of many causes have made her one of our community’s most respected leaders.
