WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Discover 'What Do You See'

In today's increasingly polarized world, the essential nature of arts and culture often becomes entangled in political debates. Is it an economic driver or merely a discretionary indulgence? Is it inspiring or labeled as "woke"? These divergent opinions have created a chasm, especially in countries like ours, where arts and culture are frequently viewed as activities for children, hobbies for later life, or superficial enhancements rather than integral parts of lifelong development.

Arts and culture indeed drive economic impact and create vibrant communities, as those who understand their importance will attest. However, these arguments often fall short against the pervasive tendency to downplay their significance. Perhaps it’s time to change our approach. Instead of merely stating that "arts and culture are important," we should focus on the broader concept of creativity. Creativity is not something easily defined by one person; it initiates and impacts all facets of life. Therefore, we should start a dialogue about creativity by asking: ‘What Do You See?’.

Perhaps it's time to change our approach. Instead of merely stating that "arts and culture are important," we should focus on the broader concept of creativity.

At The Center for Arts and Innovation, a Center for Creativity for the 21st century, we see creativity as universally essential. It is the foundation of innovation, a mindset that underpins nearly every major advancement in history. Creativity weaves itself into the critical sectors of education, business, and community in ways that are often not immediately obvious but profoundly impactful.

The Center for Arts and Innovation - What Do You See

A Journey Through Creativity

To convey this message, we embarked on a mission to create a film that would resonate deeply with viewers. 'What Do You See' follows the journey of Will, a young man passionate about creativity, who faces discouragement from various influences pushing him toward more "practical" paths. On the brink of abandoning his passions, Will encounters a pivotal message that reveals the integral role of creativity in any profession. This revelation enables him to connect his passions in ways that ultimately benefit the world.

Will's story is not unique. Countless individuals dismiss their passions, ideas, and the risks associated with pursuing creativity. Without creativity, many, especially children, become uninspired, disconnected, and apathetic, all while global challenges grow more complex and perspectives more divided.

'What Do You See' challenges viewers to reflect on their own lives and recognize how exposure to creativity has influenced them. By engaging in this introspective dialogue, viewers can uncover new connections and appreciate the subtle but significant ways creativity enhances their lives, regardless of their profession or life choices.

Now, more than ever, it's time to recognize and elevate the importance of creativity. Let’s give it the platform it deserves and inspire our current and future generations to embrace creativity, discover endless opportunities, and positively impact our world.
