Overview
David Tuthill is an accomplished global investment professional with nearly two decades of experience leading trading, capital markets, and organizational strategy across major international financial centers. He is known for partnering with founders, CIOs, and executive teams to scale organizations, strengthen governance, and drive disciplined growth.
Current Role
David currently serves as Head of Florida for Point72 Asset Management, where he leads the firm’s expansion across West Palm Beach and Miami. He works closely with the Chief Investment Officer on global initiatives, talent development, and strengthening the firm’s investment presence throughout the region.
Leadership & Global Experience
Prior to Point72, David was a Partner at GQG Partners, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the firm from $700 million to more than $90 billion in assets under management. He worked directly with the CIO on investment strategy, global trading, portfolio construction, and organizational development, contributing significantly to one of Australia’s largest IPOs in 2021.
His earlier international career includes senior leadership roles in the UK, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong with Port Meadow Capital Management and SAC Capital Advisors (now Point72). He launched SAC’s first Asia-based trading desk and managed execution across global offices.
Community & Personal
David is committed to philanthropic initiatives supporting the American Red Cross, pediatric cancer programs, and Gilda’s Club. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Fordham University and resides in Jupiter, Florida with his wife and two children. He is an avid outdoorsman and supporter of innovation-driven community development.
