In this portrait workshop presented by The Center with Miami Institute of Photography, you’ll learn the fundamentals of light, composition, and directing a subject, then put them into practice with the people in the room. By switching between artist and subject, you’ll understand something about presence, connection, and the story a single image can hold.
Cameras are welcome, but a smartphone works perfectly. The goal is learning to see, not having the best gear.
You’ll leave with a portrait of yourself and a lot more confidence behind the lens.
